Our Story
Our family moved to the United States in the summer of 2013. Since then, we’ve lived in a number of different places including: the suburbs of Philadelphia, right in the heart of Austin, and the lovely steel city — Pittsburgh! Now, about 10 years later… We’re finally settled. We love our community here in the Sarasota & Venice area. We acquired Teas Days in 2023, and rebranded to match Stardust Cafe's mission and values. We hope you find your go-to hang out spot here!
We’re here to provide the most authentic bubble teas and street food in the Sarasota and Venice area. As such, we focus our menu items on cultural staples found all over Asia.
We’re in the business of sharing our love of food in this galaxy, and hope that one day we can truly connect with each other on a deeper level by “having a boba!”
What’s boba?
Boba, also known as bubble tea, is a Taiwanese tea-based drink invented in Tainan in the 1980s. It consists of tea, milk, and tapioca pearls (also known as boba pearls or pearls). The drink is typically served in a large cup with a straw.
It is sweet, refreshing, and has a chewy texture. It is also customizable, with many different flavors and toppings to choose from.
In recent years, boba tea has become more than just a drink. It has become a cultural phenomenon. Boba shops are popping up all over the world, and boba tea is even being featured in movies and TV shows.
Boba tea has become a symbol of Asian culture and identity, and it is enjoyed by people of all ages and backgrounds.
